Welcome!

Training was undertaken with the Davie coaches who rank among some of the best in the USA and the world as they are national coaches of Venezuela, Brazil, Kuwait, and Paraguay as well as coaching swimmers to the Olympics and World Championships.

The aim of the camp was to expose our young swimmers to intense training with the “Elite Squad” at Davie – Head Coach of Davie, Alex Pussieldi complimented Head Coach Franz Huggins on the talent and determination that was evident in all of our attending swimmers.

As well as pool time, the swimmers took part in strength and conditioning training at the Institute of Human Performance (IHP) at Boca Raton – this training is an essential part of swimming and included the youngsters pushing a 6000lb minivan around the car park of the Institute, pulling sleds as well as highly specialised work in the gym. Co-founder of IHP and Swimming Dryland Instructor Grif Fig spoke of the “energy and passion” displayed by the team in each of their sessions.
